Today's tutorial will be on the subject of logo design and reaching certain cool effects sing standard PS filters.
So let's begin.
Crate new document. Note that the DPI definition is set to 300. If the logo will be printed the DPI size must be not less than 300 dpi.
Create new layer.
Use the ellipse tool and create a circle.
Path settings:
Now press Alt+Click on the layer and select the whole layer.
Maybe you don't
see it but on the picture the whole red circle is selected.
Create a new layer now!
The selected area is automatically on a new layer now.
Now overlay the selected are with gradient like so.
We will get something like this.
Layer order:
I've also used only one layer style effect on the original red circle layer.
Our result:
