Learn some light effects that give the fantasy feel to an image.
I was asked to do a couple of photo retouching using Photoshop and photos. So here is one of my 1st tutorials on these techniques. All you got to have is a photo and some skills, do let's get going with this one.
I will do this one by using a Photo of a mobile and some techniques that I've learn through these years. Here is our initial photo.

Although the simple drop shadow reflection trick usually looks good in most cases, but this is just to poor and all around used effect.

Use magic wand tool to select all the whites and also the rectangular selection tool to select the shadow next.

Then tap delete to erase all the white background. Oh yea, remember to create a twin copy of the background because you can't erase from the original background.
Next create a layer between the 2 you have already
and overlay it with something like green color rounded gradient. We will definitely change the color on some time but now we need it to be green.

Create another one and overlay it this time with reflected orange to transparency layer with blending mode set to Pin light. Do it several times.

I've used twirl effect in Filters>Distort>Twirl on the orange stripes layer.

Moreover I've dropped some effects using the layer styles of this layer.

Here is the overall picture.
