Next step:
Create a copy of our initial layer (the photo itself) and go to the
filter menu. The reason, I'm using the Film gain filter as that it
manages to set some highlights just the way I want it. OF course this
gain is not what I really want to see, but we deal with that later.

I actually wan to use another one. Cutout filter does a great job to split the tones of the image. So here we go then.

To hide the filter effects that we did I want to apply Radial Blur - Zoom filter.

Change
the blending mode o the layer to Multiply.

I really like the tones now.
Give a little more Blue with soft brush.

Final Adjustments:
Adjust that color balance

A little bit of black near the chin area and we are done with this one. In the final variant I will paste some text there but this is more like for the design thing.

So I hope you've learned something ..........and practice a lot.

i like the look of it.
if it were just the original pic with the text then it wouldve looked boring.
this actually made it attention getting.
the only thing i would change is how you blackened the neck.
i wouldve kept the neck. otherwise it does kinda look like a beard.

Your tutorial is incomplete and hard to follow. I've read better essay's written by 6th grades. Thank you for wasting my time.

Yeah I agree on keeping the neck. The whole point is to focus on the eyes, as the text is all about eye color. In this manner, the technique is actually really effective. Thanks for sharing this tutorial, I look forward to more interesting posts.

1. Your tutorial reminds me of a kung fu tutorial. Incomplete description and photos. Bad english. A tutorial is supposed to be for people who don't know or lack the skill to achieve something. Which is why every step should be described or illustrated or shown clearly and concisely.
2. And she does look like she has a beard which is really weird.
Advice: Next time you share a tutorial, please go over everything and see that it's worth publishing and that your intended audience can understand each point. A good tutor or teacher never assumes anything.

Personally I think it's good , even it doesn't look good at all or anything , every photoshopper have their own style to their things , I find it unique. I don't think everyone wants the same style by making the picture "beautiful" , Good Job ! ^^

It's an awesome idea. I love it. I just don't understand some of the steps.. that was very very annoying. I'd like it if you fully explained everything a little better. I have to keep re-reading things to try to make sense out of it. Pretty frustrating thing to deal with.

I like some of the effects you used in this tutorial, however you really need to work on your explanations for each step. You used bad english through much of this tutorial making it difficult to read. Your steps had very little explanation and were almost impossible to understand without reading it over and over at least a half-dozen times. I suggest that you go over your tutorial and edit it to make it more readable and more user friendly. Explain what you are doing in layman's terms as tutorials are not for the experts who know what to do. I think if you edited this tutorial to make it more user friendly then it would be 200% better.
