In this tutorial we are going to do a deco digital painting - it can easily fit an interior or something like that. So we will begin from applying some colors with a texture brush and then applying some effects and exposing the colors.



So let's go then. Create a new document let's say:



Start to apply the texture and think about the tone gamma to, but it can be changed on the final image.



A little bit of yellow - oh yeah, play with opacity a little bit too - maybe you don't want opaque yellow.



You can actually experiment with any color variations. It is all about how you see it and ho probably want it to be.







It definitely needs some high contrast so I will put some reds.



So the next little step I think will be the essential color control - maybe to add some "hidden colors". So choose a soft brush and set the blending settings to overlay and the flow jitter to about 3 %.











In just a little touch to the colors:

Merge all the layers and apply this filter: radial blur - you can also control the position of the blur source point.



This overlaying gives these saturated colors:











Now comes the part with some artistic filters. I will apply a watercolor filter with these parameters:



Then use the Liquefy filter. Watch the settings carefully.
