What is the point, I mean yes the result is somewhat nice but after what can we do with a jpeg like this. We include the picture between the body tag. and we have a non seo friendly page.

And for one thing, this does not look corporate, not even close. It just looks, well, extremely non-professional.

This is a tutorial for arranging an image to look like a web-page; there's nothing useful to come from it. The site's design and layout isn't even too good. Looks like it's stuck in the late 90's.

I couldn't recommend this tutorial to either a starting web-designer or a graphic designer.

The graphics are... well sloppy at best, nothing professional about it at all. And to top it off is that text on the bottom right sideways? Also, I see this page was made in CS2 so where is the second half in ImageReady that shows how to slice it and actually apply it to a webpage? Furthermore if this graphic was sliced, the things like the sideways text would have to be its own slice, aka would take to much time to load (either that or the image would have to be saved in a low quality format, and look terrible). Sorry to the author of this tut for the rude comment, but this tutorial should go back to the drawing board and be polished up before being published.

But yes, you are correct this tutorial is absolutely horrible and there is no actual use for it.
Actually you can use it to show people how web-designs shouldn't look like.

But I will offer constructive criticism:
1) colours are too dark and pronounced for a webpage, will give you a headache imo
2) this is just a picture, you shouldnt make a webpage based on 1 picture even if it is interactive, better go flash for that.
3) I dont like reading sideways tbh.

And for your information, this would probably be used as a mock-up to show the client, and have a reference when you start coding. Don't always knock everything you see that is not to your liking.

It may not be complex enough for advanced users and it may not look "corporate" but it's a nice design and it shows the steps in creating the project. Thanks for sharing!!
