Classic bouncing ball animation demonstrating squash-and-stretch principles using frame animation and the Timeline panel.

Step 1: Scene Setup

400×300px canvas. Draw ground line at bottom third. Fill background light blue (#e0f0ff).

Step 2: Draw the Ball

Circle Shape Tool: 40px orange (#ff6600) ball with subtle gradient highlight.

Step 3: Keyframe Positions

Create 8 frames: ball at top, falling, squashing on ground, rising, apex. Move ball per frame.

Step 4: Squash and Stretch

On ground contact frame, scale ball to 50px wide × 30px tall. On rise, stretch vertically.

Step 5: Shadow Animation

Add ellipse shadow below ball. Shrink shadow when ball is high, expand on ground contact.

Step 6: Timeline Assembly

Window > Timeline > Create Frame Animation. 0.08 sec per frame.

Step 7: Export Animation

File > Export > Save for Web (Legacy). GIF, 128 colors, transparency off.
